Framework Policy for Local Community (29 November 2018, Ireland) The Framework Policy for Local and Community Development is being implemented on a cross-government basis. It seeks to secure a joined-up, collaborative and participative approach to local and community development at local level in Ireland.

The development and implementation of policies, programmes and other interventions will be carried out by central and local government in line with the framework policy’s five core objectives of:

  1. engaging with communities
  2. working with partners
  3. planning for local and community development
  4. delivering
  5. evaluating, monitoring and reviewing
