Romania (2007, Bucharest Region - Marga history) is a land of contrasts with commercial cites and traditional villages. In the countryside, a very traditional old-European. There are usually no indoor plumbing, paved roads, or other modern amenities lifestyle. Homes made from mud and cow dung, and crafts such as weaving. An economy based mostly on subsistence agriculture and thus many live in extreme poverty. In contrast with the metropolitan cities, where the multinationals are colonising resulting in unemployment and poverty.
Since early 90 many NGOs, including AMURT and AMURTEL, arrived and decided to provide small family style alternatives for children suffering extreme neglect in the large institutions. Here is our story.
